
- August 24th – Pastor Dave served as guest speaker for People of Purpose service held at Christian Chapel Flynt Street. The event revolved around the theme of Evangelism.
- August 28th – Pastor Dave and Pastor Angie Burrows travelled to Freeport for a special Back to School Sunday. This event featured a special message for teens called “Back to School Rules” which was well received by both youth and adults. Back to School Sunday ended with the giveaway of school supplies spearheaded by the BFM Freeport leadership team. The meeting ended with prayers for returning students.
- September 9th – Pastor Dave, DJ Counsellor and Landlord, headlined the TYC Nassau Back to School event which reprised the “Back to School Rules” theme. Youth from TYC, Elizabeth Estates Children’s home and the Ranfurly home attended enjoying the music and teaching, receiving school supplies and prayers for the new school year.
- September 16th – Pastor Dave, DJ Counsellor and Lyrically Blessed travelled to Freeport for the first Friday Nite Live Jam of TYC Freeport. This event exceeded all expectations as over 200 youth showed up jumping, screaming and shouting throughout the night. They enjoyed themselves with the music and were blessed by Dr. Burrows teaching on “Who Let the Dogs Out” followed by a mini concert featuring local artists Avalanchee, Professor and others. Lyrical was very well received on his first visit to Freeport.
- September 18th – Pastor Dave joined the BFM Freeport church for their Sunday morning worship service where he shared on the topic, “The Laws of Good Success”. His teaching was based upon Joshua 1:8 where God promised Joshua not just success but Good success. There was a full house and a spirit of excitement as BFM Freeport continued to experience growth and very fruitful meetings.
- September 18th – Dr. Burrows was invited to be the guest speaker for the Celebrate Freeport luncheon which commemorated the formation and development of Freeport by honoring the major business and civic contributors including founder Wallace Groves. Major movers and shakers in Freeport were present in abundance including President of the Grand Bahamas Port Authority Ian Rolle, Chamber of Commerce President Peter Turnquest and many others. Dr. Burrows shared on the topic Rise and Build the City and received a standing ovation from the storied and business savvy audience including Doctors, Lawyers, prominent businessmen and church leaders. He offered the opinion that the major building block for the future of Freeport was not brick and mortar but ideas and creativity. He opined that the future of Freeport would come out of the ideas of young people, just as Apple computers, Google and Facebook founders changed the United States and the world with their innovation.
